wrapped object
I just realised that I have actually seen the wrapped parcel by Christo at Pompido Art Exhibition in Shanghai. (I didn't pay much attention to his work at the time when I saw it, because I didn't really know what he tried to express). But after looking up his other work, I feel like I have understood his concept of wrapping various objects.
One idea I have right now is to wrap a person's head with the red cloth and the other one is to wrap the window by sticking some red paper around the frame and to have a person standing beside the window and looking outside.
The first idea is inspired by one of the book we read this semester (The Doll's house). It's about woman's right. A lot of women in the world are arranged to be married with someone who they don't love at all. Men treat them like a doll, who can satisfy their desire. Therefore women at the time is more like a present to men instead of someone who is equally important as men in a love relationship.

On my own
it was rainy the other day, so I took a picture of the ripples in the pond. It was my first time taking a picture of the texture of water. The original picture was much bigger than this photo, which is almost microscopic. I put it in the photoshop and cropped it to rearrange the composition. To me, this is much more interesting than showing the whole scene, because it leaves enough space for the audiences to imagine what is in the picture. The patterns of the ripples form a unique composition. I also adjusted the light to add a mysterious colour to the photo and to enhance the contrast in color.

proposal
Last year in my AP art portfolio, there was a painting in which I incorporated a map with the self-portrait.
When I was blousing on the internet for some creative ideas, I saw this photography. In the description, it says that the photography is done by double-exposure. I am very interested in trying this new technique in photoshop.
I think by intergrating a scenery with human portrait is a good way to show the inner emotions of the subject in the photography.
