Black and White
Hi, Mrs Kuntz! I thought the assignment is due this Sunday, so I didn't post.
In this picture, two distinct art forms collide. Although audiences see the graceful movements on the stage, they don't see the tremendous amount of tedious practice behind every movement. The excruciating pain threshold that the ballet dancers have, especially the female dancers, with what they endure through pointe is amazing and incredible. The gentleness of the light and shadow and the breeze that gently stirs the curtain creates a harmonious image with the girl beside the barre, whose body is graceful yet full of strength.
