SURREALISM (Come, and catch me)

I used mirror and put it in the hallway of the photo studio to create this image. I photoshoot my own hand, which is a reflection of the mirror.

When you look at the image at the first glance, you will probably think that the shadow of the hand is behind the door. But as you take a closer look at the image, you will notice some abnormal compositions. For example, the door is placed in the middle of nowhere, and one may wonder where the hand is coming from.

This image is related to the this surrealism painting below. It's the inspiration of my photography work. By using mirror as a part of the composition, it helped altering the natural rule through the reflection and therefore adding a surrealism feel to the work.

When I first looked at this painting, I didn't notice anything bizarre. But later I realised that in reality, the mirror can only reflect the front face of this man.
